CBRE Jamaica Rail Control Center HVAC Replacement

Stirling Mechanical furnished, installed, and commissioned a split air-conditioning system within the Jamaica Rail Control Center security room. The scope required demolition of an old, packaged Trane rooftop unit with a new Mitsubishi City Multi

Condenser and two new evaporators. New roofing, electric, HVAC, and fire alarm scopes were required as pat of this project.

Stirling was able to reduce the overall project cost and duration via a value engineering proposal whereby we were able to eliminate new structural steel and fireproofing. This was particularly helpful as the work was done while the security room was in continuous operation. All work activities and phasing needed to be closely coordinated and executed with the office facility to ensure that their critical operation was not impeded.

Value: $300,000

Contractor: CBRE
