EJ Electric Boingo Wireless Head-End Room

For this project Stirling Mechanical furnished, installed, and commissioned a redundant Computer Room Air conditioning system that maintains the Boingo Penn Station wireless head-end room temperatures. These specialized STULZ units operated off facility provided chilled water. Flow / BTU meters were installed and integrated to thePENN station BMS.

As part of their scope, Stirling also interfaced with a new Inergen system and provided controls and equipment to purge the room in the event the system is ever activated. This particular scope took months of effort in order to align all stake holders and modify the controls as necessary to accommodate integration of both the existing and new systems.

The completed room provides the LIRR ridership continuous access to WIFI while our equipment ensures that the room is able to operate 24-7 for many years to come.
