Project Scope

-
For this project, Stirling Mechanical furnished, installed, and commissioned a redundant Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) System to regulate the Boingo wireless head-end room temperatures at Penn Station. These specialized STULZ units operate using facility-supplied chilled water.
-
Flow and BTU meters were installed and integrated into the Penn station Building Management System (BMS).
-
Stirling interfaced with a new Inergen system and provided controls and equipment to purge the room in the event the system is ever activated.
Key Achievements

-
This particular scope took extreme coordination to align all stakeholders' needs and modify the controls as necessary to accommodate integration of both the existing and new systems.
-
The completed room provides the LIRR ridership continuous access to WIFI while our equipment ensures that the room is able to operate 24-7 for many years to come.
