Stirling Mechanical manages a wide range of projects in collaboration with agencies such as the MTA, NYCT, SIR, LIRR, Metro-North, and DASNY. Our portfolio spans from replacing HVAC systems in commercial buildings to complex infrastructure projects requiring railroad track access and work within the Right of Way. Our team is well-versed with the complexities of working under General Orders and utilizing work trains. All of our staff have undergone track safety and railroad protection trainings, as required by the New York City Transit, Long Island Rail Road, Amtrack, and Staten Island Railway. We also have extensive experience with design-build projects and can collaborate with designers and engineers on design progression and constructability reviews.
HVAC
Stirling Mechanical delivers high-performance HVAC solutions while utilizing equipment from industry-leading manufacturers such as Trane, Mitsubishi, Daikin, Vertiv, Greenheck, and more. Our comprehensive HVAC services include the installation of rooftop units, split AC systems, energy recovery units, air handlers, computer room AC units, and exhaust fans. We also specialize in coordinating and installing HVAC systems in complex locations, including MTA NYCT Elevator Machine Rooms and Communication Rooms.
Fire Protection
Stirling excels at installing new fire standpipe and fire sprinkler systems, as well as modifying existing systems - particularly within MTA NYCT subway stations. Our team can survey and coordinate with existing field conditions to help develop pipe routing schematics and install in difficult locations, like across tracks or in spatially restricted rooms. Our team also has experience with providing fire standpipe air monitoring panels, like those newly required at several MTA NYCT subway stations, and Novec clean agent fire suppression systems.
Plumbing
Stirling is involved in a variety of plumbing work, including the installation of sump pumps at MTA NYCT subway elevator pits with discharge piping routed to track level, as well as storm drain lines that integrate with existing drainage systems. We have experience with specialty components such as installing dielectric isolation joints in subway tunnel discharge pump piping. Additionally, we outfit toilet rooms and cleaner’s closets with new fixtures and piping. Our team is fully equipped to manage and coordinate any plumbing project you may have.
