College Point-Bus Depots
HVAC & Systems Upgrades

Stirling Mechanical is proud to be part of the Stirling-Forte Joint Venture (SFJV) team, working in collaboration with the MTA on the improvements at the College Point Bus Depot. Our scope includes replacing the existing HVAC system, fire alarm system, and gas detection system and fully integrating them through a Building Management System (BMS).

As part of this upgrade, SFJV recently set in place several large, packaged rooftop units at the College Point Maintenance and Service Buildings. The featured equipment includes Trane packaged heating units, each with up to 2,600 MBH of heating capacity, and Trane packaged heating and cooling units, each with up to 20 tons of cooling and heating capacity. These robust units represent a major step forward in efficiency and performance compared to the older systems they replace.

In addition to these large rooftop units, the team installed new split AC heat pump systems to provide more efficient heating and cooling throughout the Bus Depot.
